My Story

I began my yoga practice at the beginning of the pandemic, Feb 2020. I could no longer keep myself too busy to deal with my anxiety. I found myself in a mental state desperately praying for peace.

 

Starting out with a virtual online practice, I began to notice the 20-30-60 minutes spent on the mat were the most joyful moments of the day. These were moments I finally became in control of my own state of mind. I consistently returned to the mat to re-train my brain and body to learn that feeling, the choice to be at ease, so that I can take that powerful shift with me off the mat and into my day.

Practicing the pranayama breathing techniques turned out to be the key to quieting the anxiety and rambling thoughts in my mind. I did it everyday.

 

For me, yoga is breathing in peace, tying back to my initial intention for a yoga practice.

My Purpose

Taking on my role as a Peace Ambassador through the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification with Yogalution Movement (2022), I guide my classes heavily influenced by self-love, self-awareness, breathing practices and mindfulness.

 

I teach classes with the goal for yogi’s to completely drop into their experience present on the mat, feeling so deeply connected to the benefits, that you find yourself practicing yoga outside the mat.
